So It Begins: Preparing to Detox

Caitlin and I are embarking on a 10-day detox diet next week. No expensive supplements or drastic calorie reduction--just super-clean eating and drinking. More to come on the specifics ...Eliminating coffee is the most daunting aspect of detoxifying my body. Today I begin cutting back on coffee to make Monday slightly easier. But I am TOTALLY not addicted to the stuff. I can quit anytime. Yeah, right. Coffee is a major part of my life. It's my pick-me-up, my reason to escape from work, my quiet time. I can quit beer and wine, and even cheese (yikes), but the prospect of losing that essential part of my day is seriously terrifying. Not to mention the headaches and sluggishness I am sure to experience. I know Caitlin has the same fears. That said, if we want to truly give our bodies the reset they deserve, we need to make the sacrifice. We just advise everyone use caution when approaching us those first few days....
